GOD LOVES

a cheerful giver

In the heart of Manikonda and neighboring areas, a devoted community found itself yearning for a spiritual haven, compelled to travel to distant parishes like Golkonda and Banjara Hills for worship. Recognizing this need, Rev. Fr. Thumma Lourdu and Rev. Fr. Thumma Arla sowed the seeds of faith by initiating Eucharistic celebrations in an interim facility, with priests commuting from other parishes.

In 2017, a providential turn of events unfolded when Mrs. Shilpa S.A.U and Mr. T. Sridhar Reddy generously offered the Scholars International School space for Sunday Mass celebrations, marking a significant chapter in the formation of what would become a 'quasi' parish. Word spread like wildfire, and the humble gathering of 10 families quickly burgeoned to over 200.

Realizing the pressing need for a dedicated church, the community embarked on a quest for a suitable space. Fr. Allam Arogya Reddy, appointed by his Eminence Cardinal Poola Anthony (Archbishop of Hyderabad) took on the additional responsibility of resolving the long pending issues and constructing the long-awaited church.

THE MIRACULOUS INTERVENTION OF GOD

Father Allam, our Parish Priest, passionately describes the divine intervention with profound fervor and awe, recounting the miraculous orchestration of events that unfolded in response to earnest prayer and unwavering faith.

One providential day, Father Allam found himself at St. Ann's School for an unrelated matter, where he unexpectedly encountered an LKG student accompanied by her teacher. Engaging in casual conversation with the child, little did he know that this chance meeting would unfold into a divine intervention. Remarkably, the child turned out to be the daughter of the officer in charge of the church property file. Urging the principal to connect him with the officer, Father Allam's request was met with immediate assurance from the officer to address the church file promptly—an occurrence that felt nothing short of a God-sent miracle.

Following meticulous procedures and in consultation with the donor's family, a mutual decision to progress was reached. Inspired by unwavering faith and devotion to St. Anthony, Father Allam, guided by his elder sister, commenced the Nine Tuesdays devotion. For nine consecutive Tuesdays, he actively participated in morning masses, seeking divine intervention. Astonishingly, by the tenth week, on a Tuesday, the conveyance deeds were executed—a culmination that resonated as a testament to God's miraculous intervention. This testimony serves as a compelling reminder that miracles unfold when one places unwavering trust in the Lord. Praise be to God for His boundless grace and guidance throughout this incredible journey.

Now, after seven years of unwavering dedication, the community rejoices in possessing a property where the foundations of their new church will soon be laid. This sacred sanctuary, dedicated to St. Mother Teresa, will not only serve as a place of worship but also stand as a beacon of thanksgiving for the faithful working in Hitech City.

However, the journey is not complete, and the church, despite its triumphant progress, faces a financial hurdle. With dreams as vast as their faith, the parishioners now call upon the generosity of contributors to come forward and help turn their collective vision into the bricks and mortar of the church—a testament to their shared journey of faith, unity, and resilience. Together, let's build a place where all are welcomed, and where gratitude and worship echo through the walls—fulfilling the dreams of the parishioners of Manikonda, Gachibowli, Hitech City, and beyond.
